It supports the organisation of Semitic studies panels at the Deutscher Orientalistentag, convenes its own specialist meetings between congresses, and serves as a forum for methodological, didactic and disciplinary policy issues.<\/p><p data-start=\\\"529\\\" data-end=\\\"788\\\">The Section brings together scholars from Germany and abroad, supports early-career researchers, and represents the interests of Semitic studies within the DMG as well as vis-\u00e0-vis academic institutions.
